Description

Cypraea tigris is commonly known as the tiger cowrie. Originally described by Linnaeus in his 18th century work, Systema Naturae, it is a species of cowry, a large sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Cypraeidae, the cowries.

The 'Tiger Cowrie' Raw Silk Jacket is a geometric interpretation of the natural markings of the Tiger Cowrie. The elegant weave of this textile begets an elegant jacket suitable for a classic wardrobe. Within the grid pattern hides details of interest and, much like the gentleman who wears it, it distinguishes itself from any others.
