Description
The Whitsundays are a chain of 74 individual islands spanning from the towns of Bowen in the north, to Proserpine in the south along the Queensland Coast of north-eastern Australia. The famous waterways which connects these islands, was charted and named by Captain James Cook aboard the historic HMS Endeavour in 1770, when he mistook his date of arrival there as The Feast of Whitsun-Pentecost and while he in fact had his dates confused, the name has stuck since.
For whatever pursuit of leisure or adventure, the central attraction to The Whitsundays are their serene waters and their endless tonal variety of aquatic blues. Upon the ‘Whitsunday Waters Boucle’ Jacket, white and aqua strands of silk loop around contrasting darker tones, shimmering like the waters from which inspiration is drawn.
