Description
Stretching from Bendigo to Melbourne in the Australian state of Victoria, the Macedon Ranges is home to the Kulin nation of Indigenous Australians and a diverse range of flora and fauna. Like the Blue Mountains to the west of Sydney, there is an optical effect created by the dust particles, water vapour and the oils from the eucalyptus trees that scatter short-wavelength rays of light which are predominantly blue in colour, creating a blue haze. This tapestry has been inspired by the bark of the Paperbarks and the haze which engulfs the spectacular Macedon Ranges.
